Restylane / Perlane

These detmal fillers are long-lasting gels that are injected into the skin to add lift and volume by smoothing wrinkles and skin folds. Restylane and Perlane are essentially the same product, Perlane is simply a larger dosage and both are popular alternatives to collagen replacement therapy.

These products are hyaluronic acid which is one of very few substances identical in all species and tissue types. Hyaluronic Acid binds water in your skin to lift and restore the skin's natural elasticity and volume working with the body’s own hyaluronic acid and joins forces to create volume. They are commonly used for wrinkle correction, lip enhancement, deep folds, smile lines and thin superficial lines around the eyes, mouth & forehead. They are also used for shaping facial contours such as the cheeks or chin and lip augmentation.

Visible results are immediate with results lasting 4-6 months, with a 50% prolonged effect after 6 months. Treatment is usually repeated within a year as the hyaluronic acid in both products will dissolve over time.
