| PROPECIA Promotes hair growth. - 28 Days Supply. For the treatment of men with male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) to encourage hair growth and prevent further hair loss. Propecia is currently the most effective licensed drug for treating hair loss. It slows, stops or re-grows hair in 88% of men (re-growth in 37%). The treatment needs to be used continuously for at least twelve months before it is certain it is effective although some people will see improvement long before this. The longer it is used the more effective the results as each year after the first twelve month period there continues to be a 2-3% improvement until a plateau is reached after approx five years. However 80-90% of the best achievable result is reached within the first 12-18 months. It is known to be a very safe drug which is very unlikely to interact with any other drugs commonly taken (alcohol, antibiotics, painkillers or even "recreational drugs"). Although there are no long term studies showing serious side effects or indeed benefits, Propecia (Finasteride) has also been used very safely for twenty years as a 5mg tablet to treat Prostate disease. It works by "blocking" the action of 5 Alpha 1 reductase which is an enzyme that makes Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) from Testosterone. Propecia is not itself a hormone. In practice, crown and vertex hair responds best, temporal hair is unlikely to re-grow. Only scalp hair responds to Propecia. |

| Scalp Cream | |
| DERMATOLOGICAL 5% Effective treatment for scaly scalps i.e. pityriasis and sebhorroeic dermatitis. - 200ml Scalp application cream for heavy scaling Contains Salycylic acid 5% and Sulphur 5% Loosens and dissolves scaling of the scalp, for adult use only. Make small partings in the hair using a comb. Apply a little of the cream to each area until the scalp is covered. Soak for 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then shampoo the hair twice with Wimpole Clinic anti-dandruff shampoo. Repeat twice weekly until scaling is light and then continue to use the Wimpole Clinic anti-dandruff shampoo to prevent recurrence of heavy scaling. |

| DANDRUFF CONTROL Mild, gentle dandruff control with rich lather. Suitable for daily use.- 250ml Anti – microbial shampoo. Contains Piroctone Olamine. This shampoo will clear and control common dandruff and is a highly effective treatment when left on the scalp for 3-5 minutes. It will clear scaling which most common anti-dandruff shampoos fail to clear. It is a mild shampoo which creates an abundant rich lather and is ideal for daily or frequent use. |

| SENSITIVE Additive free for sensitive scalps or greasy hair, does not over stimulate the sebaceous glands. - 250ml Soothing non-irritant shampoo. Contains coconut and citrus fruit derived cleaning agents. This is a gentle mild shampoo free from common irritants that create itchy scalp syndrome. The shampoo removes excess oil from the scalp but does not strip the natural oil within the scalp tissue thus ensuring that the scalp is clean, healthy and in perfect balance. The citrus base ensures that the PH of the shampoo matches the PH of the scalp which is important to combat both oily and sensitive scalp conditions. |
